This volume on needlework is from The Smithsonian Illustrated Library of Antiques, the acclaimed 15-volume series produced through the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, which is a branch of the Smithsonian Institution and the only museum dedicated to design in the US. The book covers landmark examples of needlework from the East, West, Western Asia, Near East, Africa, and the Americas, along with needlework techniques, information about collecting, and a glossary.
Very good condition overall. Dust jacket: some toning, discoloration, light curling along top. Book: light foxing along page edges, some discoloration on boards. Dated, embossed on flyleaf. Inside excellent.
