The beloved hard-plastic walking doll made in the 1950s by Roddy, the famed English dollmaker. This Scottish lass has a strawberry blonde mohair wig, blue sleep eyes with fiber eyelashes, open rosy mouth with 2 white teeth, and rosy cheek blush. Her ethnic costume includes a tartan hat with black velveteen top and red pompon, tartan dress with ivory top, black velveteen vest with white trim, plaid sash, ivory panties and anklet socks, and pink vinyl Mary Jane shoes. Jointed arms and legs. Head turns when legs move. Sleep eyes close when she lies down. All original clothing, hanging tag, and box. Roddy Walking Dolls are prized by collectors.
Very good condition. Never played with, stored in box. No scratches, tears, chips, or stains. Loose curl on left side but wig otherwise retains intricate styling. Clothes age toning.
